Wild Salmon at the Nourse Tree Farm

David and Dar New, Washington State and National Tree Farmers of the Year, have prepared a video showcasing salmon returning up Pilchuck Creek to the Nourse Tree Farm in North Snohomish County, Washington. There are two runs.  A good sized run of pink Salmon return every other year in October of the odd numbered years and spawn in the main stem of Pilchuck Creek. A smaller run of coho salmon return every year between about Thanksgiving and New Years to a small feeder stream that flows through the tree farm. As you will see, special efforts have been made to help preserve the coho run.
