WHO: Dr. Elaine Oneil, WFFA Executive Director

WHEN: March 19, 2024   7:00 pm

WHERE: Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis

Join us for a lively presentation by Dr. Elaine Oneil.  A specialist in climate change, carbon accounting and forest health, she will explore the history and future of one of the state's best kept secrets: its forests and their remarkable carbon cycling technology.

She currently serves as Executive Director of the Washington Farm Forestry Association and as Director of Science and Sustainability at the Consortium for Research and Renewable Industrial Materials (CORRIM) at the University of Washington.

She will offer an up-to-date look at the connections between forest carbon absorption, storage and cycling for climate mitigation and forest resilience with a focus on why active forest management matters.
