Dick Hopkins, Pierce County FFA president and co-owner of Hopkins Forestry, will discuss the results of 122013 Douglas-fir plantation with 200 pounds potassium applied years of added-potassium research from Green River College with two trial applications and a control.  He also will mention 7 years of added potassium research at Lincoln Tree Farm (Tacoma Schools) with two trial applications and a control that is still in progress.  He will also show alternatives to managing laminated root rot from Lincoln Tree Farm operations on various units.  This photo shows the results of broadcast potassium at 200 pounds/acre on a 2013 Douglas-fir plantation.
