Steven D. Stinson Leadership in Natural Resources Scholarship

The WFFA Scholarship in Natural Resources was started in May 2014 with a generous donation from Port Blakely Tree Farms in celebration of their 150th anniversary. Shortly thereafter it was named the Steven D. Stinson Leadership in Natural Resources Scholarship in honor of Steve’s extraordinary contributions to the small forest landowner community.  Additional generous contributions made in Steve's name by individuals, chapters, and raffle proceeds from the 2015, 2016 and 2017 WFFA Annual Meetings have allowed us to create a perpetual scholarship fund that supports our core beliefs as Stewards of the Land, for Generations to Come.

The 2020 Steven D. Stinson Leadership in Natural Resources Scholarships were awarded to Alannah Cross, Erik Kemp and Justin Stanley. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our awardees were not able to accept their awards at our 2020 Annual Meeting. Our Scholarship Committee contacted each awardee with the news of their scholarship.
