Steven D. Stinson Leadership in Natural Resources Scholarship

A WFFA Scholarship in Natural Resources was started in May 2014 with a $20,000 donation from Port Blakely Tree Farms. It was named after Steven D. Stinson after his passing in July 2014. With the generous contributions made in Steve's name by individuals, chapters, and raffle proceeds from the 2015, 2016 and 2017 WFFA Annual Meetings, the scholarship fund is now over $80,000.

We are pleased to announce that the 2017 Steven D. Stinson Leadership in Natural Resources Scholarship has been awarded to Erik Kemp.  Please click here to view his scholarship page.

Knowing that he would not be able to attend the scholarship award ceremony at the 2017 WFFA Annual Meeting due to work obligations, Erik produced a video to express his appreciation for receiving this scholarship. You can see that video here:

Erik, son of Bill and Janet Kemp of Newport, is finishing his second year at Brigham Young University, pursuing a degree in Wildlife and Wildlands Conservation.

Bill accepted the award on Erik's behalf at the Annual Meeting.

Donations to the scholarship fund are always welcome.  Make your check payable to WFFA with a note that it is for the Stinson Scholarship Fund, and mail to WFFA, P.O. Box 1010, Chehalis, WA 98532.
