The CFFA picnic will be at noon on Saturday, September 12th, this year on the Andrews Tree Farm on the Coweeman River up Rose Valley. The lunch will be potluck with the chapter providing hamburgers and beverages. Please bring a small salad or dessert. Also, bring lawn chairs, if you have ones that are easy to transport. Family and WFFA members from other chapters are welcome. If you know of someone who might be interested in joining, please invite them to the picnic.
To reach the Andrews Tree Farm from the north or Longview go to I-5 exit 36 and go south on Old Pacific Highway towards Carrolls for about 1.5 miles, then left onto Rose Valley Road for 3.7 miles. Turn left at the Mark Andrews Tree Farm sign.
From the south, take I-5 exit 32 then north on Old Pacific Highway past Carrolls and turn right on Rose Valley Road (address is 2336 Rose Valley Road). Please thank the Andrews family for allowing us to have our annual picnic in such a lovely spot.
Our chapter continues to seek more members. New members can join WFFA for $45 the first year, and this New member rate is reduced by Cowlitz chapter paying $10. If someone joins after July 1st, their first year membership runs until the end of 2027. New members will receive a WFFA sign and a book Stewards of the Land.
