Pacific Northwest Bigleaf Maple Festival

Come and learn all about bigleaf maple sugaring in the Pacific Northwest!

Educational Stations
Each session will be 20 minutes in length and will start on the half hour at 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, and 3:00. You need not attend sequentially.

1. Identifying bigleaf maple
2. Growing bigleaf maple
3. Tapping demonstration
4. Collection demonstration
5. Evaporator/processing demonstration
6. Tour of Pack Forest sugar shack and explanation of a licensed operation
7. Maple products demonstration

Taste Testing: Taste testing of seven syrups, including five local bigleaf maple syrups.

Equipment Display: Displays of materials, supplies, and equipment.

Food: BBQ Junkies food truck from Eatonville will be available between 11:00-3:00, including a bigleaf maple beer on the menu. You are welcome to bring your own food but no alcohol please.

Live Music: Balcony Bridge, a rock band from Fremont, Seattle.

Registration: is $10 per adult (16+). No charge for children under 16. Adults may take home a sample 1oz bottle of bigleaf syrup and can participate in the official taste test (children can also taste). All educational stations will be outside – please dress appropriately. Come and go as you please between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. Space and parking is limited; please follow directions from our parking attendants. Registration is nonrefundable and will be closed after 150 registrations or 280 adults, whichever comes first.

Pre-registration is required. Registration will not be available on the day of the event.
