MEMBER OPPORTUNITIES!!

"Got Cottonwood?"

Washington State Parks needs a small volume of special native cottonwood logs (black cottonwood, Populus trichocarpa). A pioneer cabin at Olmstead Place State Park, near Ellensburg, was originally constructed of cottonwood logs. Some of the logs have decayed, and State Parks needs replacement material to make repairs in keeping with the original construction.

Understanding that this type of small, very specialized job is "under the radar" for most large timber companies, Washington State Parks hopes that one or more family tree farms will be able to supply this unique need.

Follow this link for information on log specifications and about the contact person at WA State Parks.
