TOWN HALL MEETING in Chehalis

Our locally developed FFHCP deserves public review, but that is not going to happen without your support!

Please bring a fellow forest owner or next door neighbor, and join us on May 22 to learn more about these proposed optional rule changes.

Find out how you can help us encourage our public agencies to do the right thing by moving this essential project forward.

Improved Regulations Proposed by

Family Forestland Owners & Lewis County

Veterans Memorial Museum, Chehalis

6:30- 8PM

We need your help!!

  • Come join local landowners and County officials in a Town Hall discussion on how we can collectively move the Family Forest Habitat Conservation Plan (FFHCP) forward to the benefit forestland business owners, the County, and our environment.

  • The FFHCP will help conserve our working forests, save scarce financial resources for landowners and for Lewis County - all while still protecting our essential environmental resources.

  • The FFHCP will enhance the level of science in our forest regulations in ways that could ultimately help landowners in other counties maintain, and enhance  their forestlands.

  • An investment of over 3 million dollars in private and public funds, not to mention thousands of hours of volunteer time, have gone into the HCP's grassroots effort over the past decade.  The apparent refusal by Federal Services to allow public review of this science-based plan leaves family forestland business owners questioning whether our Federal government is sincere about wanting to keep our working forests on the landscape.
