Volunteers Needed

As a reminder we will not be having our normal educational on the April 14th, nor will we be having the anticipated work party as things are coming together quite well for the WFFA Annual Meeting starting on 4/25.  We still have a little room at the Hama Hama Event on Sunday but the registrations for the Monday meeting exceed the capacity of the meeting room so we are taking waiting list registrations only.

For those attending the WFFA Annual Meeting, we do need some volunteers for the following:

  • 7 PM Sunday Evening at Alderbrook: several folks at the Alderbrook bar to welcome other members & guests to the social.
  • 7-8:30 AM Monday Morning: a few people to collect breakfast tickets
  • 12 Noon-12:30 Monday: a few people to collect lunch tickets

If you are able to volunteer for these short jobs please email Chapter President Howard Wilson at  wilsonhs@aol.com.

Once the dust clears from the Annual Meeting we will have to get serious about getting some of you to serve as Chapter Officers.  We particularly need a candidate for President and Secretary.  As you know we have limited our chapter activities to educational only so the Presidents job (except this year's annual meeting - Thanks Howard!) is not demanding - open the meetings and attend a few WFFA meetings during the year to represent the chapter.  The Secretary job has been simplified considerably by getting volunteers to sponsor individual educational meetings - just need some minimal computer skills to get mailings out.  Whether we continue with 10 meetings/year (or any ?), may be determined by your level of volunteerism.  Please contact Ken or Howard for more information about how you can help the chapter move forward.

As a reminder, we still have an opening for a tree farm tour in August (11th) if you are willing/eager to show off your farm or have another option you would sponsor.
