October 27th:  The 2012 Chapter Annual Meeting was held at the Tacoma Yacht Club - details here

April 4th:  Spring is here!  And so are the bugs.  Come hear Karen Ripley, Forest Health Program Manager, DNR, and find out what is buggin' you.  See details in the April 2012 issue of "Tree Green News" below.

March 7th - General Membership meeting at the Puyallup Library:  Our guest speaker will be Paula Kaiser, Forest Manager, Green River Community College, and Co-Chair, South Puget Sound Chapter, Society of American Foresters.  She will lead a discussion of the damage caused by the recent ice storm and offer us some management alternatives.   This is a very timely topic and should foster a good discussion among attendees.  Come prepared to discuss the damage to your tree farm.  Green River has several 1/10th acre research plots at Green River.  Follow this link to view two pictures: the first taken just after the ice storm, and the second, their attempt to salvage the study.

February 1st at the Bonney Lake Library:  Kirk Hanson will be there to tell us about his program.  This should be of keen interest to all of us.
